CORONAVIRUS VACCINE SHOTS AVAILABLE AT SELECT PUBLIX PHARMACIES
The Perazzo Law Firm informs that several Publix Pharmacies will be offering COVID-19 vaccine shots to individuals that meet certain vaccination criteria.
On Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Publix grocery store drugstores will begin a pilot test to offer doses of the coronavirus vaccine to eligible groups of people by appointment only.
The announcement was made from an Ocala Publix outlet, which is one of the Publix grocery store pharmacies where the COVID-19 vaccine shots will be offered. Other Publix pharmacies include stores in the counties of Citrus, Hernando, and Marion.
According to COVID vaccination information available on the Publix website, a total of 22 Publix locations will offer coronavirus vaccination while supplies last. According to the Vice President of Publix Pharmacies, Dain Rusk, approximately 120 will be vaccinated daily by appointment only. Publix joins worship centers in efforts to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine quickly in order to prevent losses and help contain the spread of the coronavirus.
How to get a free COVID-19 vaccine at Publix
Publix customers interested in receiving the COVID-19 at Publix outlets in Citrus, Hernando, or Marion county, must make an appointment by visiting the Public website. The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge. However, proof of insurance and identification is required.
