Essential Steps to Dealing with Slip and Fall Accidents

Hello, my name is attorney Jonathan Perazzo. I am the founder of the Perazzo Law Firm.

Thank you for visiting our blog. I hope that you find it informative, and  you find the information that you’re looking for.

Today I’m here to talk to you about Slip and Falls. Something that’s very important to know about slip and falls is what you actually slipped on.

The law imposes a bunch of requirements on the victim in these claims and it’s imperative that if you do suffer a slip and fall accident, I know you’ve been injured, I know something hurts. You’re probably in back pain or knee pain or some kind of pain throughout all of this, the law still wants you to know what you slipped on. So please, if you slipped and fell make sure that you take photos of the area, go back, maybe take some videos of it and know what you actually slipped on.

Primordial Law Legal Issues After a Slip & Fall

The law may impose on you not only knowing what you slipped on, but knowing how long it was there and who put it there and a whole bunch of other requirements that don’t make a lot of sense.  But unfortunately, that’s the law and that’s what we have to work with. So, if you have been a victim of a slip and fall, on top of what I just mentioned, it’s also very important that you make sure that other people know about it that you make a report that if you are injured, you go to the doctors as soon as possible. You don’t want to let these things linger and get worse because if you get injured and then don’t mention of it for a few weeks, a lot of things can happen in a few weeks.

So it’s extremely important that if you’ve been involved in a slip and fall and you have an injury or you have some kind of discomfort that you make sure that you get that checked out as soon as possible. For two very good reasons:

One your health obviously you want to make sure that your health is impeccable, and that we get you up to 100 as soon as possible that’s number one.

Number two, like I mentioned, if you’re going to be doing a claim against the person or entity that injured you, you want to make sure that you have a history of what transpired,  so on day one, you were injured.

Building a Road Map to Recovery

On day one or day two, you went to the doctor. We have said doctors reports they show these are the injuries. You kind of want to make a road map to explain what happened and to be able to show and prove, not only that you were injured, but to what extent you were injured and what that injury has done to you your family life and your future goals and all of the things that you wanted to do with your life.

It’s extremely important that you get all of that stuff written down, and feel free to browse the site. And if you still have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 888 P-E-R-A-Z-Z-O. Thank you.
