FLORIDA SCRUTINIZED DESPITE SUCCESS HANDLING COVID

Health experts can agree that Florida has handled the COVID pandemic much more effectively than most U.S. states, most importantly, without crushing the economies of business owners and workers.

When compared to cities like NY, Florida has not only has handled the situation better, but leads in vaccine distribution. Sadly, mainstream media seems to be attacking Florida rather than trying to recognize the State for its handling of the COVID pandemic so that other cities can emulate their strategy. While its true that there have been issues with scheduling appointments over the phone and complaints by residents, this happens in all states which have a high population.

According to statistics, there are 4.3 million senior citizens in the state of Florida, and officials, such as Ron DeSantis have prioritized their full vaccination.  This is a fact that has slowed the distribution among other age groups, especially the younger populations that are in less risk of getting seriously ill from COVID infection than older people. In other words, Governor DeSantis is placing the health of senior citizens first because their risks are greater. While there are issues across the U.S., Governor DeSantis has acknowledged issues with vaccine distribution, the State is taking measure to adjust to the growing demand for vaccination at public hospitals and other locations where residents can receive a vaccine shot. Florida officials and the Governor are working to make COVID vaccines readily available at local supermarkets as well as vaccination centers close to residents’ homes. However, these implementations take time and logistics which many don’t seem to realize.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LOOKING TO MANDATE THE SHOT

Pfizer was granted full approval for its emergency treatment drug, also referred to as the Covid vaccine, on Monday, with hopes it helps elevate trust in whatever ingredients are stored within the shots, as well as to convince the Federal Government to make vaccination obligatory. This comes as good news for the pharmaceutical giant, but bad news for those still skeptical over the long-term effects, which remain to be seen, of the so called “vaccines”.

Immediately following the announcement, the Pentagon said that it expects to move forward with plans to make the “vaccine” mandatory for military personnel and their family members as the so-called delta variant is hailed as super-contagious.

With over 200 million doses jabbed into the arms of residents across the country, and almost have a billion worldwide, the secret formula devised by Pfizer and its German counterpart BioNTech, seems to be the pride and joy of the FDA, which deems it totally safe given its proven track record thus far.

“Vaccines are one of our greatest weapons against the virus,” said the current FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, adding, “We hope this approval will bolster confidence in those who’ve been wavering.”

According to Pfizer, the U.S. has become the first nation to give full approval to their vaccine, which will go by the brand name “Comirnaty”.

However, Pfizer is not alone in the hunt to jab the entire nation with its Covid drug. Moderna is also seeking the FDA’s full approval to make its version of the Covid shot fully legal in the U.S.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government, which has come under fire for the lack of confidence produced by Joe Biden’s apparent senility and most recent decisions, looks to mandate “vaccine” shots across the country. With just half of the American population completely jabbed, the alleged delta variant seems to be helping the Federal Government and Pfizer meet their objective, which remains unclear to many across the country, who are wary of whether it’s just business or a real concern for the well-being of the American population.

“Mandating becomes much easier when you have full approval,” stated Dr. Carlos del Rio of Emory University. “I think a lot of businesses have been waiting for it.” Though scary to people that are skeptical of a drug that is being tested on humans, as well as the uncertainty of the future side-effects, the truth is that the Federal Government and labs seem to be running the show.

DESANTIS SUED OVER STUDENTS AND MASK MANDATES

As if distinguishing a smile from a frown weren’t enough for children, the Federal Government and State officials are unable to decide on the mask rule for schools.

Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran threatened to deny funding from school boards that mandate the use of face mask, as well as possibly remove the officials that don’t support the decision taken by Republican Lawmakers, which control the budget committees in Florida’s House and Senate.

“When it comes to healthcare for children, the rights and responsibilities to make final decisions belong to parents,’’ said a Pensacola Republican, adding that the executive orders made by Governor Ron DeSantis regarding parent’s rights to decide whether or not to make their children wear masks.

According to recent reports, there are currently six Florida districts set to go against Governor DeSantis’ executive order to allow parents to decide as schools open their doors to students and in-person learning.

Last Thursday, Governor DeSantis filed a motion to have a lawsuit filed against him on behalf of parents that have handicapped children. Unfortunately, his motion was denied by a Leon County Circuit Court judge as the case gets underway. Parents accuse DeSantis of placing the plaintiffs’ kids at higher risk of becoming infected with the coronavirus or the new variants.

COVID IN FLORIDA: GOV. DESANTIS LAUNCHES MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TREATMENT CENTERS

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – At a time when COVID numbers seem to be devastating hospitals and causing panic in the mainstream, the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, has announced the implementation of rapid response units throughout Florida that will administer artificial proteins called monoclonal antibodies to individuals that have tested positive for COVID.

As of May 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has allowed monoclonal antibody treatment therapy for patients that fall under a certain criterion, which includes adults and children that test positive for COVID-19. Apparently, through monoclonal antibody therapy, the immune system becomes more responsive to COVID and is better prepared to fight the virus thanks to more antibodies.

The treatment guidelines state that individuals that have tested positive for COVID should seek monoclonal antibody treatment as soon as possible or within a week of initial symptoms. Though the therapy has been authorized by the FDA for those that have tested positive, it is not recommended as a preventive measure, but rather as a means to help prevent hospitalization if infected.

According to Governor DeSantis, “A lot of people have not even heard of it and if applied early and properly, it can reduce risk of being hospitalized by 70%,” he stated, adding: “doing it before the symptoms get severe, is when it is most effective.”

Jacksonville is to witness the first of many monoclonal antibody rapid response locations, with plans to have them operating at geriatric homes across the entire state of Florida.

DeSantis told the press, “I am proud to announce the opening of this rapid response unit to offer lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapies for Floridians. We also look forward to setting up a long-term site at the Jacksonville Public Library and additional long-term sites across the state. These treatments have been proven successful, with clinical trials resulting in a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death for COVID patients.”

NURSING HOMES FACING COVID-19 EMERGENCY IN MIAMI-DADE & BROWARD

State officials have apparently neglected nursing home residents & staff due to the unexpected coronavirus outbreak among younger Florida residents.

Though the weak & ill are considered among the most at risk, elderly residents at nursing home that require special care can fall victim to negligence. Thus preventive measures by nursing home and assisted living operators must be established and enforced. NURSING HOME VISITORS IN MIAMI-DADE

Since March, Florida residents have been prohibited from seeing their relatives & loved ones residing in long-term care facilities. On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that the time for that to change has come despite the growing number of COVID-19 cases flooding the state of Florida’s healthcare system and nursing home across Miami-Dade. The governor of Florida expressed understands the concerns of Florida residents having loved ones & relatives in nursing home must feel & stated the need for a light at the end of the tunnel. Thus, the Florida governor is planning policies that would allow people to visit nursing home & long-term facility residents when certain criteria apply. A new committee is being set up to examine policies that may allow visitors. According to a former Florida long-term care ombudsman, believes that isolation with no visitation is a major problem throughout Florida, both for the residents and loved ones because of concerns of negligent care or lack of information about state of their loved one. However, the former ombudsman agrees that now is not the time to allow visitors in nursing home or assisted living facilities in Miami-Dade or Florida. Meanwhile, facility operators are doubtful that now is the time, as the elderly are the most at risk of death from

COVID-19 or related causes.

Florida being sued by Norwegian Cruise Line over COVID passport mandates.

In Miami, the Perazzo Law Firm shares the latest info on COVID regulations and Federal Government mandates.

cruise-accident-lawyer-in-Miami-291x300With the federal government pushing COVID vaccines on the general public and trying desperately to govern people’s lives through passport mandates, Norwegian Cruise Lines files suit against the State of Florida for not allowing them to operate freely. Florida, together with Governor De Santis, have passed a new law which bars businesses from mandating clients and customers from having to show proof that they have been vaccinated with the controversial COVID vaccines, which everyday prove to be less and less effective against preventing the spread of the coronavirus. In the suit filed by Norwegian, the cruise ship company’s legal representatives argue this newly adopted Florida law prevents them from operating safely in the state, thwarting their ability for smooth sailing, which should have restarted on August 15 in Miami.

Unfortunately, the controversial battle between the federal government, together with the CDC, which are pushing COVID vaccines on the entire U.S. population, rages on into the cruise ship business.  The lawsuit by Norwegian Cruise Lines was filed on July 13 in the Southern District of Florida and argues that they are in tune with CDC regulations for cruise ship operations, which aim to guarantee crew and passenger safety through proof of full vaccination.  This, however, goes against people’s civil liberties to decide whether to get vaccinated to travel on a cruise setting sail from Florida. At present, COVID vaccines are under the scientific spotlight as information begins to surface about the health risks involved for those that have opted to receive vaccination, as the benefits of getting a shot do not necessarily outweigh the dangers of not getting a COVID shot.

Governor DeSantis Stern with Biden

A day after Biden tells Florida Governor DeSantis to get out of the way and stop interfering with the federal governments plan to vaccinate everyone with COVID vaccines, DeSantis lashes back by raising concerns over the COVID-spreading free-for-all taking place at the U.S.-Mexican border. According to DeSantis, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants are entering the U.S. and are being facilitated entry and provided with transportation to cities across the country. This is a very alarming fact and one that fueling the spread of the COVID variants among American citizens and residents. Meanwhile, Biden seems to be neglecting this apparent fact and working to push the vaccine on Floridians. In a public statement, DeSantis had this to say: “Why don’t you get this border secure? Until you do that, I don’t want to hear a blip about COVID from you.” This statement is a direct response to Biden’s criticism over Governor DeSantis stance on mask mandates, which once again make headlines, adding further controversy to the real benefits of getting vaccinated and effectiveness of the COVID vaccines. Meanwhile, the U.S.-Mexican border has become swamped with migrants, many of whom are COVID positive and sowing the seeds of a massive spread of infections across the United States.

Toxic hand sanitizer leads to blindness and death

According to the CDC, a toxic hand sanitizer caused the wrongful death & personal injury to 15 people to suffer methanol contamination. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) had alerted consumers that some hand sanitizers contained the poisonous chemical, which can be fatal upon human consumption. Since May, over a dozen people have been treated, with 4 of those that somehow ingested the hand sanitizer suffering wrongful death. Consumers fall ill & die from consuming tainted goods regularly. Of the 11 victims, 3 where left almost blind, with over 12 product liability negligence victims suffering seizures while in hospital. Over 60 cases have been reported, with some alleged to be kids that may have ingested methanol tainted hand sanitizer accidentally. People struggling with alcohol abuse may intentional consume hand sanitizers. Also, the boom in alcohol-based hand sanitizers to fight the coronavirus, has led to users to inadvertently intake it through contact with the hands or facial covering. For this reason, the hand sanitizer in question & its manufacturer may be liable for injury or wrongful death from methanol-tainted hand sanitizer. The CDC notes nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, or seizures. Severe symptoms may result in blindness & death. The FDA warns to never ingest hand sanitizers & avoid imported goods containing methanol.

CRUISE SHIP WORKERS & COVID COMPENSATION.

MIAMI: Following months of working without pay, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line crew workers may soon receive compensation from a class-action suit filed in Miami. The personal injury attorney representing the crew members aboard the company’s Florida-based ships, settled on a fee that would pay 275 staff members $875,000 in compensation. The class-action suit holds Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line liable for back wages that went unpaid ever since the U.S. government cancelled all cruises on March 14th. Meanwhile, crew members were asked to remain onboard and continue to carry-out their duties regardless of whether there were passengers aboard or the two ships the cruise line operates: The Grand Celebration and the Grand Classica. However, cruises never started back up and the crew remained aboard without pay and having to go out-of-pocket to cover their own essentials. Sadly, labor laws do not apply to cruise ship workers in the United States because the companies and ships are registered abroad (see Maritime Labor Convention of 2006).

As of March, cruise ship crews have experienced numerous unique hardships, as many have been confined to the ship on which they together with quarantined and COVID-19 infected passengers.

If you, a friend, or relative has suffered physical or mental injury while aboard a cruise, in Miami, the Perazzo Law Firm can help.

COVID-19 IN DAYCARE CENTERS AND SCHOOLS

Though the report never made the local news until today, it is vital information in light of the reopening of schools and the online education initiative, which seems to be the only safe alternative to preventing the spread of the coronavirus among students and teachers during the upcoming school year.

A pediatric report by the FDH revealed that some 48,928 kids in Florida have tested positive for COVID-19 since March, with 600 requiring hospitalization and 8 fatalities.

Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe account for the greatest number of cases with a total of 21, 236 to date, which includes kids and adults.

Furthermore, and according to this South Beach hotel chain operator, the initiative reveals the commitment the hotel has to offer its guests a safe stay, as well as to take care of its staff, who will be able to get tested for free every day if they wish. International hotel guests and those without health insurance will have to pay roughly $130 to get tested, preferably five days after getting tested upon arrival to the U.S.A. The hotels will have medical representatives available for the COVID testing of guests and staff members, suggesting that coronavirus testing is the best way to help flatten the curve of the current spread and get the tourist industry back on track.
