Multi-Vehicle Collision in North Miami Leaves MDPD Officer and Four Others Injured

Emergency personnel from North Miami Police, Miami-Dade Police, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue swiftly reacted to a serious incident that unfolded at the intersection of Northwest 135th Street and 17th Ave. in Northwest Miami-Dade, Florida, shortly before 4 p.m. on a Friday.
Aerial Observation:
An overhead view captured by 7Skyforce depicted significant damage sustained by both a police cruiser and a red SUV at the accident site.
Collision Details:
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), the SUV’s driver ran a red light, resulting in a T-bone collision with the police cruiser.
Medical Response:
First responders from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were observed providing immediate medical attention to the injured officer and a female individual at the scene. The injured officer was subsequently transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
K-9 Well-Being:
As a precautionary measure, the police officer’s K-9 companion received a thorough examination from a veterinarian at Knowles Animal Hospital.
Hospital Transfers:
Four occupants who were in the SUV were also transported to the hospital, although their current medical conditions remain undisclosed at this time.
