Truck Overturns on Palmetto Expressway
The exit ramp onto Gratigny Parkway from the northbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway had to be closed on Tuesday morning due to a tractor-trailer that had overturned. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at around 5:45 a.m. to try to put the vehicle back in its upright position. According to officials, the tractor-trailer was heading north on State Road 826 when it lost control near State Road 924, drove off the roadway, and overturned on an embankment. The incident resulted in major traffic congestion for morning commuters, and drivers trying to access Gratigny Parkway from the Palmetto Expressway were unable to do so. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. All lanes on the Palmetto Expressway were reopened to traffic by 10:30 a.m.. (News source 7 News Miami)
