HEAD-ON COLLISION LEADS TO FIVE DEAD ON PALMETTO EXPRESSWAY

Thus, it’s no wonder fatal accidents occur on daily in cities across Florida. The Palmetto Expressway was the site for a horrific accident that resulted fatal for the five occupants of a vehicle that was crashed into by a man driving the wrong way. The fatal accident victims all died upon impact, according to the news agency reporters and local authorities arriving at the scene of the horrifying car accident. The driver (30) was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, and he was later charged with several counts of manslaughter. The deadly car crash occurred during the early hours of Saturday in Miami-Dade County. According to testimony, the driver was operating his vehicle eastbound in the westbound lane of the Palmetto Expressway at a very high speed. The impact was so severe, that the entire front of the vehicle slammed inward, all the windows to blow-out, and the side doors to sink inward. The wrong-way driver survived the crash and had to be taken to Ryder medical by helicopter for treatment. But he won’t be back on the roadways anytime soon, as a string of charges await, as do years of life behind bars. Why the accident happened is under investigation and the authorities are tying t determine if the victims was driving under the influence or simply suffering from some kind of mental trauma.
Avoiding head on collisions
